Now Accepting Cases Due to Improper Release of Undercover Officers' Names and Photos
Several LAPD undercover officers have joined forces to file a class action lawsuit against the city of Los Angeles after their names and photographs were released and posted online. Nair PC is certified and vetted to represent LAPD officers and specialize in representing law enforcement officers, has taken on the case.

The release of the officers’ identities and photos occurred after a court order compelled the LAPD to make public the names of officers involved in shootings over the past several years. Unfortunately, this court order also resulted in the LAPD's release of the names and photos of undercover officers. This information being publicly accessible places the officers’ lives and the lives of their families in danger, as it compromises their ability to work undercover as well as their safety.

"Releasing the identities of our clients has created a serious public safety issue," said Abel Nair, the lead attorney at Nair PC. "These officers work hard to protect our city and their families, and they should not have to fear for their safety due to the extremely reckless actions taken by the LAPD."

The class action lawsuit seeks reparations for the officers whose identities and photos were released. This would include financial compensation for any damages they may have incurred as well as an injunction that bars the officers’ names and photos from being released in the future.

The LAPD has acknowledged the seriousness of the situation and stated that it is actively working to remedy any harm caused by the release of the names and photos. However, the actions taken by the LAPD have not been enough to ease the fear and concerns of the impacted officers.

"We hope that through this lawsuit, we can ensure that the city takes action to prevent this from happening to anyone else in the future," Nair added.
